Even my grandpa came out from this room to spend some time at the party.... He needs a walker to walk and he got to a living room just fine... We were all very happy to have him with us... It was funny how all the pictures happened around him. Here is my grandpa with Mia's godmother (Michel) who is back from Spain:

My grandpa with five of his eight kids:... The one of the left is the one of my uncles that is a doctor... He is the one that diagnosed my tachycardia and high blood pressure (he is the dad of Mimi's co-godmother Vanessa).... Then is my mom's only sister (she is the mother of my two cousins that I hang out with sometimes... She is Maria Paula and Isabella's grandmother)... Then is my mom.... Then is my uncle, who is the one that sometimes comes to visit and the same one that bought us the nebulizer... Then is my godfather, and the one that is a diacone that has baptized my three daughters (he is the dad of Mia's godmother Michel).

Trying to get a picture with the kids (as Ariel refused to it)... This was the best we got:

Luz is Amelia's co-godmother and one of my best friends. As she is living in Arabia, we dont spend a lot of time together, but she has been here visiting several times and I see her more that people from my family that live here!

She has been here for almost 2 weeks, but it has been impossible to get together as her days has been non-stop. Today we finally got to have lunch together and we really had a good time... Her hubby and "sister" (a friend who is like her sister) went with us too... Her husband's name is Craig, but Gaby called him: Uncle "Cake", and have continue calling him like that ever since... I DOUBT he will ever stop being uncle CAKE.

Mimi acted like she always acts when she is around new people and enviroment and it was really funny how she will try to look at them, but trying to hide the fact that she was trying to look... Hilarious... We hardly took pictures with our camera, so I hope she will send me the pictures from her camera SOON (hint, hint for her). Here are Luz and Carol:

Here are hubby, Mimi, Carol, Luz and Uncle Cake Craig: (Mia and Gaby were on the playground next to us)....

This picture came out grainy, but Im sure it came out better with her camera as they both look like they are looking to the other camera...

It was really nice, and I hope we can get together again before they leave....

UPDATE: Here are some of the photos from Luz' camera... When we got there, Mimi was sleeping:

Her local godmother is just crazy about her, and called me up to pick her up to take her to see a Shar_Pei exhibition that she needed to go and wanted to take her... So, she picked her up at around 11:00am took her to her house for lunch (with my aunt and uncle), and then took her around for some fun... Mimi missed the dogs, as she felt asleep, but it was a good day anyway... Here is a picture that she put on her Facebook (I think it was edited by her boyfriend).

We have been planning for a few weeks that Gaby's godmother picks her up from school one day so Gaby can spend the whole afternoon in her house having some quality time. So, last Saturday we arranged for this to happen today.

Gaby had a blast, and was very upset when we got there to pick her up cause she didnt want to leave... In a matter of a few minutes Gaby actually felt ASLEEP and there was no way to wake her up until the NEXT day! It was a bit sad cause Katia (her godmother) actually bought some cupcakes and put them on the tower she used for Maria Paula's birthday (which was the same that we used for Gaby's Birthday), so we can recreate Gaby's birthday as she knew we lost all the pictures... But, there was nothing we could do to wake Gaby up.

Here are some pictures of the "awake" girls:

Wow!!! I CANT believe Mimi is 18 months old already! There are some many and so many things that were suppose to wait until she was 18 months old, that is feels crazy to know that SHE IS 18 months old already!!

There is no way I can count how many words she says, but I can tell she says A LOT. I remember that Gaby and Mia were able to communicate this much by the time they were 23-24 months old, but Mimi is even putting 2-words sentences together. She says everything that she wants us to know, even pee and poo.

We are planning to start taking her to the bathroom because lately she has been saying "pee or poo", and holding her diaper JUST before she does it. It sounds insane to me, but it now crossed to my mind that I may be out of diapers FOR GOOD in just a few months. Im sure 2009 will be a year of BIG things in our house, because whether I like it or not, there wont be more babies around here!

Mimi turning 18 months old sounds like the end of an ERA. Tears fill my eyes, because sooner or later, my girls will be older and I just hope that they need me as much as I need my mom everyday in my life. I hope they need each other as much, and that they can grow a great relationship.

There were several people (including two OB) that told me that I needed to terminate Mimi's pregnancy, because she had no chances to live, and because I was going to put in danger my own life. I thank God so much because I was stronger than those people. I just look at Mimi's face, and I cant imagine my life without her. God knew that we were not going to look for her at the moment that I got pregnant with her, but he knew we were going to be able to manage somehow and Im so grateful for that.

Mimi's co-godmother Vanessa called me early this week because she wanted to take Mimi to a field day in a church. She took her for a couple of hours and Im very happy for both of them, because they got to bond. Here is a picture of them just when I was getting Mimi in her car. Mimi was ready to leave, but was not in the mood for pictures, hence her face:

As I mentioned before, Mia only had to go to preschool Wednesday and Friday this week, so she was "preschool-less" on Tuesday and Thursday. Her godmother lives in Spain, and came for visit for a couple of weeks, and wanted to see her... So, I mentioned her about her "days off" and we agree on Mia spending the time with her!

When we got there, she was on "defensive mode" as she got the feeling I was going to leave her there. She is very independent, but she also is very attached to me... That house was a new place for her, and she has spent little time with her godmother as she lives so far away.

I tried to take a picture of her but she wasnt very happy about it, and here is what I got:
Photobucket
Her godmother is an awesome Early Education teacher, and she is actually getting a master in Spain on Therapeutic Psicomotricity (for kids with psicomotricity disabilities)... So, I KNEW she was going to be able to make her happy as soon as I were out of the door!!

When I got to work, I called her and she told me how happy Mia was... They have a mini "school room", and her sister (who is also a teacher) was running a home daycare (or something for that matter) at their old house... They moved, and now have less space, but they kept the room as my uncle and aunt have several grandchildren.

I forgot to tell her to check on Camila's gross motor skills, as I think she falls too much, but she did mentioned later over the phone that her fine motor skills were very good, as she can stack tower of 10 blocks, which is somehow advanced for her age.

Here are some pictures that she gave me, including a picture of when she felt asleep just before I went to pick her up!! She was so beat up that she actually didnt woke up until the next morning!!Photobucket

We planned to make Mimi's birthday party at home, but as the day was going to be too complicated with three celebrations in the same day, we decided to do it at my mom's house because the maid was there to help us, plus it was closer to most of the people. We let everybody know, even though everybody was invited to the baptism, so we were going to have time to let them know about the change of plans.

It was small, but it was full of people that loves us, and Im really happy how it turned out. Mimi was really happy and walking around non-stop. She was amazed while we were singing Happy Birthday, but she was happy. The photographer couldn't come to the party, and my camera was out of batteries, so Luz took all the pictures. I will go next weekend (or probably during the week) to the photographer's studio for Mimi and Mia's birthday photo shoot.

We buy most of the things online, so I have wishlists to have in one place everything that we are planning (or at least hoping) to buy.
