Lately, shower time is not a fun activity for Mia. She used to love water but she now cries every time we has to wash her hair, and simply doesnt have fun.

Today, I had my water lover back.... I didnt even pay attention to the fact that she has a cold, and let her play a bit... and here are a few pictures of her that I love. It shows her real smile, and her personality so much. If you dont know her in person, and want to know how she is, just look at these picture and image her JUST like that!

Since Gaby was around 8 months old we started trying to keep her happy during our trips to the Supermarket.... We tried everything possible but nothing worked like Grissinis. They are generally pencil-sized sticks of crispy and dry bread (quoting from Wikipedia).

Every time we got in to the Supermarket, the first stop after setting Gaby up in the shopping cart was to get Grissinis. She is almost 5 years old, and Grissinis are still her "tranquilizer" at the Supermarket...

I dont know if this works for all kids, but I gotta say that Mia and Mimi acquired the "Supermarket Grissini Fever", as they all sit happily to eat Grissinis while we shop... Mimi would scream every time she finishes one, and asks for another one.... Same thing for Mia.

There are low fat, with cheese, with garlic, natural, and they have tried them all... I cant say they have a preference, as they love them all!!!

We went to the Supermarket today, and as always they ate grissinis like there was no tomorrow... so, it got me thinking that I needed to blog about it because, after all, Grissinis are the ones that makes our food shopping possible!

If you have no idea what Im talking about, here is a picture of grissinis that look exactly like the ones we buy:

The day was great. We got a lot of things done, and we were planning to take the girls out. Gaby and Mimi fall asleep, so I decided just to go with Mia by myself to a shop where I needed to get something. I hardly go out just with Mia, just I thought it was going to be a great way to spend some alone time with her.
The store is far from our house and she fall asleep on the way to the store, and when we got there, she woke up and behave beautifully. We went up and down as I was having a hard time finding what I was looking for, and just when I was about to be done she started getting fuzzy. That was my sign that I needed to get out of there.
I paid, and headed to the car and started digging in my purse for my keys, just to realize I didnt had them!!!!! I got to the car to realize the keys were INSIDE of the car. You will say it's Ok, just open the door with the spare key, but I didnt had the spare key!!!!!!!!!!! I called hubby to ask him for the spare key, so he could take a cab and bring it to me. After 10 minutes of looking everywhere, he couldnt find it. Looks like one of the girls was playing "car" and misplaced it. I told him just to stay home, and to be ready just in case (Two more girls there was not in my plans).
My windows have a problem to go up and I have to "hand help" them to go up, so I tried to push them down with no luck. Finding a professional to open the doors was difficult at that time and also way too expensive. So, I asked one of maintenance employees of the store for help. 2 hours later, and 2 other guys later, they managed to reached the lock of the door with the help of a long piece of metal wire. Too bad I couldnt find an expert "car robber" to open it faster.

I got Mia a Barney book that only kept her entertained for 10 minutes. I got her in a shopping cart as I didnt took a stroller (never again), and she did everything possible to try to get out of there... She sure kept me busy!!

"La Famosa" is a caribbean brand very similar to Goya. The owners of Gaby's school are also owners of "La Famosa", and hubby got a basket of "La Famosa" products two days ago. We were food shopping and when we got back, we put the bags in the dinning room (right next to the basket), and we started freshing up before putting everything away in the kitchen.

Looks like Camila thought that we put them there so she could play "Food shopping", and she went uptairs to look for her shopping cart, and started having the blast of her life.

As she already let me see her, now she wont stop walking!! It is amazing, how every kid will learn to walk so differently... I think the personality, body complexion, gross motor skills, and maturity, plays an important role on this.

Gaby walked when she was 9+ months old almost 10. She had this clumsy walking, and she was falling down a lot!! She used to open her legs wide open, and she had "middle ground frustation (she will get upset sometimes, and some others she will be persistent).

Then it was Mia... She was pushing around toys, chairs, tables, everything at 7 or 8 months old, and we thought she was going to walk as early as Gaby, but it took her until she was 13+ months old to figure out that she didnt need "something" to push in order to walk. She was confident, but easily frustrated with falls. She never did the "bull" looking walking.... her legs were straight, and she was running right away.

Mimi started walking at 10+ months almost 11. She has strong steps, and she will do all the balancing possible not to fall... It is so funny how she will keep giving steps even if she lose balance and her butt is about to touch the floor... She will keep walking and then put her body straight again without using any help to pull herself up. She is very confident, and she doesnt care if she falls... She will simply get up and keep walking like nothing happened!

We buy most of the things online, so I have wishlists to have in one place everything that we are planning (or at least hoping) to buy.
