Today was our local's Mother's Day. We were suppose to stay at our house because of Gaby's chicken pox, however, she wasnt contagious anymore... We noticed that the dots were already dried out, so we decided to do something out of the house.

We went to a Restaurant and we had a very nice time... We took some photos, but I havent download them, so I will be posting them later on when I do.

Update... I got the photos already... Here are some:

There are 10 kids in Gaby's classroom... Out of those ten, there was already EIGHT kids that had Chicken Pox in the last couple of weeks. Only Gaby and another girl were missing. Today, we noticed that Gaby had several dots that looked like Chicken Pox, and then we went to the ER to make sure it was Chicken Pox and IT WAS!!! Booo! :(

Our local mother's day is the last Sunday of May (which is next Sunday) and today was the Mother's Day presentation at school. The first act was Camila's grade as they are the youngest of the school.

Camila knew the songs by heart, but as soon as she saw me the crying started and she ended up in my arms instead of the stage... After the show was over, she gave me some gifts that she did for me:

After the Toddler and Pre-K class was Gaby's presentation with all the other K kids.. She was also intimidated with my presence and even though she sand all the songs beautifully, she refused to say the sentence that she was suppose to say by herself.

At the end, she also gave me the gifts she made for me.. She was very sad that she didnt said her line:

Two great Salsa Performers are in town and we decided to go to the concert... They are Gilberto Santa Rosa and Victor Manuelle, who once did a tour together called: Dos soneros, Una historia (Two salsa singers, One history), are bringing now: La historia continua (The History Continues).
Photobucket

I havent had so much fun in a VERY long time... We went with 4 four friends including my comadre Luz.. Luz and I actually danced salsa for 3 hours NON-STOP during the whole concert... We sang ALL the songs, and by the time it was over we could hardly speak.

Here we are in our way to the concert... We all packed ourselves in one car...

The fact that my youngest daughter is already TWO YEARS OLD hit me really hard!! I took advantage of her tiny size and refused to accept that she became a toddler once she turned 1 year old. It was very difficult to accept that the baby that once was 4 pounds (see her birth story here), was turning one!

Today it is MORE difficult because she is REALLY a toddler now... She talks and acts like a toddler, and there is no way I can hide that anymore... There are so many things that she has accomplish during this year of her life, and there are tons of stuff that she will learn from now on...

I cant believe that I wont have a baby of my own that I can cuddle and rock to sleep... Lucky me, I still have my nephew, plus the other nephews/nieces to come.

Today we went to the Columbus Alcazar. I assume I have been there before, but I honestly dont remember it... It was really nice to see the place that was his home (even though it was actually built by his son Ferdinand).

Here are some photos. Getting there:

We buy most of the things online, so I have wishlists to have in one place everything that we are planning (or at least hoping) to buy.
