It was an awesome day and we had a lot of fun... All the girls (including Mimi) were really excited about going to the beach!! I wanted to leave early as my oldest brother was coming to town today with my nephew Ariel Enrique, so I wanted to come back early. As much as much as I didnt want to leave early, we didnt set up an alarm as I honestly start the day happier if I wake up on my own -even if is early. Anyway, Gaby walked in our room at 7 with her eyes half closed saying: "It's time to go to the beach". I bet she was dreaming all night long about sand and salty water!!

We got ourselves ready and out of the door in less than a hour, and after getting a few things in the store we headed to the beach. The girls sing a song about going to the beach all trip long (version original of the song is about an ugly car that goes on a trip... The girls were singing about "Going to the beach" instead of " Going to a trip"....Original lyric is here).

I spent a lot of time in the sand with Camila as she was not in the mood for the water (same thing as the last time we went), so I got almost 200 photos (if I cant get in the water, I needed to keep myself busy with something, right?).

We got this on our way to the beach and Gaby LOVED it.. She actually spent mostly the whole time playing with it in the water:

I realized TOO late that there was no photos of me... After the beach, we went to visit my friend Luz who was in the country for a week, so I promise to post photos later on of my "red" face when she sent me the ones that she took.

Today is the Independence's day. Every year on this day, they make a military parade who's head is the President of the country. Not sure how it works every year, because this is the first time ever that I go to an event like it, but I think it was very good.

The parade represented the evolution of the military, and we capture the whole event in photos. We have almost 200 photos, and even though I tried to be very selective, I still have a lot. Enjoy.
We found a great spot in front of a hotel:

BUT, minutes later the security guard asked us to move, so we went down to the street. It was awesome, as we got to be in the front before it got crowded:

Before it started:

This was very cool.. It was an helicopter, and that "dot" under it, it was 4 military men holding flags:

Tomorrow is a national holiday because of the Independence Day and Carnival celebration, that is why today the school had their own celebrations...

Gaby had an "Independence Day" performance. She had to say the name of 4 history characters, and even though she knew them, she needed a bit of help saying them... Just for the record, here are the names that she had to say: Juan Nepomuneco Ravelo, Jacinto de la Concha, Pedro Alejandrino Pina and Juan Isidro Perez... Yes, dont get scared, they were as difficult for her as they are for you (LOL), even hubby had a hard time trying to pronounce them... I did memorized them, though (pad me on my shoulders, please).

Hubby took photos with the school's camera, and totally forgot to download them before we left the school, so we will see those on Monday. Here is one photo of Gaby and one of Mia... The skirts were done for my friend Kim from Prairie Mama, and I think they looked GORGEOUS!!! She always does such a good job!

I would get a picture of the three of them with their skirts.. They looked so cute... I would also get photos from Mimi's preschool on Monday. Cant wait.

It is update time. We havent accomplished all we have wanted this week as Camila havent cooperate with the poopy test, but hopefully it will work this weekend.

Amelia - The Pink Bud
1 - CAT Scan to check for Sinusitis - Diagnosis: She has Maxilary AND Frontal sinusitis. The tech was nice enough to explain me directly in the computer where was all the sinusitis. When we talked to the ped she told us that this is normal as she cant blow her nose. She told me that it can be treated at home and prescribed her a treatment.
2 - Check up with an Eye Doctor
3 - Check up with a pediatric Dermatologist

Camila - The Red Bud
1 - X-Ray to check for Sinusitis and Adenoids - Diagnosis: Everything looks normal.
2 - Buy Humidifier or Vaporizer to sleep (still need to find out which option is better for her)
3 - Ultrasound to check if she has any enlarged organ to produce the abdominal distention - Diagnosis: Everything looks normal.
4 - Test for tolerance to Lactose, Gluten and Soy (Those are 6 tests, 4 of those are RAST to milk proteins, and the other two are RAST to Soy, and RAST to Gluten).
5 - Disaccharides Test and Digestion Test... Both done with stools
6 - Check up with the Eye Doctor
7 - Blood work to check on the platelets level

Gabriela - The Purple Bud
1 - X-Ray to check for Sinusitis and Adenoids - Diagnosis: No enlarged adenoids!! This was actually shocking as this was the X-Ray to make the decision for the removal surgery. I havent talked to her ped about this, but I will ask her if she thinks she needs to repeat them ro make sure.
2 - Check up with the new ENT doctor
3 - Check up with a new orthopedist for a second opinion and tell him that she sometimes complains of leg pain.
4 - Follow up with her eye doctor
5 - Call the new psicologist to find out about group therapies.
6 - Resume with the tests prescribed by the neurologist. EEG, Head MRI, plus some blood work with several tests.
7 - Vaginal culture exam

More tests to go... I will continue to update the blog about this.

UPDATED: Just to do a new format of the post striking the ones that are done, and showing the ones that are still missing.

As I commented on Sunday's post, we stopped by to visit Luis Enrique... He is getting so big!! Last week was his 15 days check up and he gained one pound. He also has his first shot and was very brave. I have been trying to get some good shots for his birth announcement, but it havent been easy as everytime I visit he is EATING (oh boy, looks like he nurses non-stop).

We buy most of the things online, so I have wishlists to have in one place everything that we are planning (or at least hoping) to buy.
