Mimi is growing up...

.... too fast for my taste.

She has been ready to start potty trainning since she was around 18 months old, but I really havent put much effort into it... Today she asked to go potty, and she pee!

Am I ready for this? Im certainly NOT!

And Camila is GONE....

... from our bed that is!

Words cant express how happy I am about this. For one reason or the other, Camila always ended up sleeping with us since a few months ago... We kinda let her because we didnt want her screaming in her bed and waking Mimi up...

So, even if we knew it was going to be CHAOTIC, we took the decision and last night was her first night from the rest of her sleeping in her own bed... She cried, Mimi cried, and Gaby complained, but at the end, everybody settle down and she spent the whole night over there (even though I had to drag her back a few times)...

Way to go Camila!!!

19 months old tomorrow....

Another month has passed, and it seems too fast for me... She continues with the same "double personality" as we call her as she is the funniest girl with us and in her little preschool, but she is the most serious girl around other people... Im sure most of it is because she is VERY shy around new enviroments and people, and it is only after 30 minutes in the same place, with the same people that she will start acting like herself...

Today she was in my room "playing" by herself while I was working on a few things... I knew what she was doing, but she didnt know I was looking at her... She took her cloth off, and started taking CD's and DVD's out of their cases... As always, when I turned around to look at her, she gave me her "classic" look: Too charming to punish (or at least that is what she wants me to think... LOL).

Love hurts...

I got a call this morning from the preschool campus. Mia was playing with one of her beloved friends, and suddlenly her friend decided to express her love to Mia and BITE her on the cheeks!!!!!!

When Gaby was 2 and even after she turned 3, she was THAT kid bitting every other kid alive. It was really bad, and painful cause other parents knew her as the girl that bites (which means: keep her away from my kid).... Sometimes I couldnt understand why the other parents acted like that with her... She is just a kid, but I was always scared of picking her up because I KNEW I was going to hear another bitting history....

So, now, with Mia, I get to have the kid that has been bitten. This is really the first time that happens so BIG, and I feel so sorry for her... It looks anything else, except for a bite... She has red in the middle and purple all around it... I kinda stroke in black around the purple area cause it is hard to tell...

Mimi's potty progress

There is no much progress on the potty as we are not pushing it... Mimi just turned 18 months old, and to push her is not our plans.. Anyway, it is soo funny all the progress that she is showing, and it really amazes me... I bet tons of other kids knew how to do that by this age, but that has not been my personal experience, so, from perspective, it is awesome...

Sadly, the camera we got doesnt have sound, so our videos from now on will be in MUTE, but you dont need words to understand what is going on here. My instructions were: Could you take the doll to go potty?

Of course, everthing came to an end cause Mia and Gaby came to take their dolls to potty, and Mimi had to take her potty chair and doll away!!!

Mia's fashion

Mia had a potty accident at school today, and not only her pants and panties got diry, but also her shirt... I have only been sending an extra pants and undies, but not a shirt... Her teacher decided to "make" her a t-shirt for her to wear in the meantime, and this sure was a "non-sewing" shirt!! Gotta find the instructions to start selling shirts like it!!! She has also wearing a Thanksgiving hat (made with construction paper).

Please, ignore the cables and mess from the back... The picture was taken at hubby's office, and you cant expect to find something else in a computer tech office, right?

Silly Mimi

Since I was pregnant with Mimi I had the feeling that she was going to be the leader in the house, and I still think it will be like that. She is the youngest of the house and it is the one that gets away with things easier. Everything has to be done her way, and she manages to have it done when and how she wants.

She is very easy to please, but she expects to be pleased and PRONTO. There is no delays allowed in her schedule or she will throw the fit of the year.

Mimi also manages to stay serious in front of somebody that she doesnt know, no matter how hard that person tries to make her smile. She wont. At least for the first 20 minutes, she wont. After that, and when she decides, she will be all smile. And oh boy, can she laugh!!! She has this gorgeous laugh that will get everybody laughing wit her.

She is a total cutie and she melts my heart. Doesnt matter how upset or stressed I may be, she will find a way to get me focus in what it is the most important thing: The Love of the Family.

Life is tough

Hubby and I were discussing some important things, and when we got to the house from the school and look in the back of the car, here is what we found: (notice Mimi's "clean" shirt and sweaty hair):

PT Alert!

Camila have been showing that she is ready to be potty trained. As our potty seat disapeared, we have to buy another one. We have tried to get Mia to pee on the toilet with no luck. She just refuses. Today, I was trying to get her a diaper on, and she just didnt want to... She wanted just pants and pee on the floor (how fun!). Here is a picture of what I found right next to a "river" of pee on the floor.

Mia's earrings

Mia has a big "earrings" problem. She cant keep them on for more than 2 or 3 days. The last earrings that she lost, we decided we were going to leave her without any earrings for a bit. Today my mom came home with new earrings for her, and we decided to give it a try. After 30 minutes of screaming, hubby managed to get them on, and she couldnt kept her hands out of them.

It was night, so we tried to keep her hands out of her ears, hoping that she is going to forget about them tomorrow...

I put Mia on her highchair (with a shirt on) and went to change Mimi's diaper and I put her on her crib to have her milk. Around 5 minutes later when I come back to make sure everything was fine with Mia, here is what I found:

That's exactly how Mia looks: Ready for the party! But, where is the party?? I have no idea!! Maybe in the playroom, her bed (considering it's 11pm), or maybe just downstairs.... But the lady got some makeup! Can you tell??? She even has her eyebrows done!!
