As we live in a Spanish speaking community, our main concern is to make the girls to learn English. We know the Spanish will be there, but we need to work on the English. So, we have done everything in our hands to only have all of our books, DVD’s, music and toys in English.

Gaby and Mia are both in bilingual schools, but Mia wont be taking classes in English until she is 3 years old, so she has been learning lots of Spanish songs… Also, there is a Kids Interactive Show in our way to school on the radio, where kids get to call and ask for songs, and we have been listening to that program everyday.

As a result of that, I have been playing some songs in Spanish for the girls, and they are loving them… They mostly listening to them in youtube, while I work, and honestly it feels weird when I work without that music in the background.

Here are the girls favorite ones... Play them even if you dont speak Spanish... I promise your kids will love them!!

CUCU, CANTABA LA RANA (It talks about a frog that sings Coo-Coo...).

PIMPON (It talks about a male doll made of cardbox)

LA GALLINA TURULECA (About a crazy chicken that is too skinny because she doesnt like to eat, and has her eggs in the living room, and never where she is suppose to).

SUZANITA TIENE UN RATON (A little girl who owns a mouse.... He sleeps right next to the heater with the pillow in the feet, and dreams about being a chess player)

LOS POLLITOS DICEN (It says that the chicks say Pio Pio Pio, when they are hungry, when they are cold, and explain everything their mom does for them)

A LA RUEDA RUEDA (It's about going round and round in circles)

SAMI EL HELADERO (It's a about the Pinguin who sell ice creams made with water and laugh, and sometimes with milk, nuts and wind).

ENJOY!

Remember the Backyardigans Invitation that I did a boy named Ethen?? Well... His mom ordered some Treat Bags Tags, and Candy Bars Wrappers. As I still havent put out samples of the Party Package in the site, so I wanted to post them here......

Treat bag tag (this can have the name of each guest, at no additional cost). As she is having a pool party, she is actually going to attach this to Beach Pails... I suggested her to make holes with a punch hole, and a little bit of ribbon... So, here it is:

That little text in the back is a watermark that says Thank you and "Gracias" (thank you in Spanish, as they have Hispanic Background).

Here are the wrappers... The back goes backwards, so it looks fine on the candy bar and it has a space to paste it with glue... It is made to fit two in a regular 8.5 x 11 paper.

Im still not 100% about the price... I googled around, and I kinda set it in $15 for the wrappers design, and $12 for the Tag design. I will love to hear what do you guys think about the price...

One day at Mimi's school:
Lady says: "She looks so cute walking"
Me: WALKING?"
Lady: You knew she was walking, right?
Me: Nooooooooooooooooooooo
Me: but but but but... when did it....., when did it.... happened?
Lady: A few days ago

When we got home:
Me: Mimi walk for Mommy....
Me: Come on.... Walk for mommy....
Me: Ok... now, walk for mommy
(Mimi crawls)

Later that day:
Me: Mimi is walking!!
Hubby: Yes, I know....
Me: What you mean you know?
Hubby: When you went downstairs she was giving steps like crazy.... you didnt know?
Me: Helloooo? NO!

3 days later:
Lady says: Mimi is walking the whole school!!
Me: What?
Lady: Yes, she was walking today in the backyard non-stop

Later that day:
Me: Mimi walk for Mommy....
Me: Come on.... Walk for mommy....
Me: Ok... now, walk for mommy
(Mimi does one step and crawls)

A few days later:
My mom: Kudos to Mimi! How come you didnt tell me she is walking?
Me: How do you know she is walking?
My mom: Because she was just walking when you were in the kitchen...

Later that day:
Me: Mimi walk for Mommy....
Me: Come on.... Walk for mommy....
Me: Ok... now, walk for mommy
(Mimi does one step and crawls)

I was really wondering if you was going to go to college without letting me see her walking! It was like everybody say her, but ME!!!

So, today I started asking it non-stop. And nada, nada. At bedtime, after I got her pj's on (that by the way, we huge on her feet), she insisted on going to the floor. It was not comfortable to walk holding onto the bed, much less by herself, because the foot part of the PJ was huge. Anyway, I decided to try my luck again, and it happened! It finally happened to my eyes!! (Im sorry that you guys have to tilt your head....)

So, she started walking sometime while she was 10 months old, but I got to she her at 11 months old.

It was REALLY nice to work with Elysa's mom to make her Birthday Invitation. She was one of the customers waiting for me while I had the girls hospitalized. Im not a big fan of talking to my customers over the messenger about their orders, because there is no record about it (and of course, my mommy brain will forget all the details of the conversation after a few weeks), but when we were emailing back and forth, we decided it was faster to continue the conversation over messenger.

Lucia is a really fun mom, who was open to my suggestions, and I can say that this invitation was a team job. She also have roots from this country, and even though she havent been here for long years, it is nice to know that we share the same culture, and that maybe one day we would meet in person.

She wanted a Baby Einsten invitation with the Brynn Design, and she wanted me to use primary colors, instead of the theme colors. She also asked me to translate a sentence to Spanish, which create a grammar debate between her husband and I, but that we decided to keep as I was suggesting (I also had to call my mom who is "Doctor Grammar", to make sure I wasnt wrong).

So, here she is:

Lucia: I was a great pleassure working with you, and I cant wait for the party to get the pictures for the Thank you notes!

We buy most of the things online, so I have wishlists to have in one place everything that we are planning (or at least hoping) to buy.
