A few days ago, I wrote a *review* about a DVD that the girls love. Then, one girl of an online forum was asking about what toy to buy to her son for his first birthday. She wanted to buy a "Spanish speaking" toy, as she is raising him billingual. I recommed her a toy that one of my girls gor for Christmas, and I offer to show her a video with the toy in action.

So, I was thinking that from now on, I will choose a toy of the week. Each week, I will choose one of the toys that my girls owns, and I will make a review about it. I will try to get a video of the girls playing with it, or at least pictures.... The toy of the week with be featured on the column from the right, and the review will be writing every weekend (hopefully every Saturday).

I hope Im going to be able to help some moms in some way, when they are looking for a toy to buy.

We took out one of the playpens out the playroom and set it up on my bedroom, so I can have Mimi there playing while I work. She was happy and doing all kind of sounds. She normally "hits" herself on the legs (not to hurt herself, but to show excitment), so I was listening to those kind of sounds. When I turned I notice that she was CLAPPING!! All by herself, and out of happiness.

Of course, she stopped doing it when she saw the camera, and this is what I got (in other words, I got nothing! LOL.... I will try to get her clapping soon!)

Cutest thing of the day: All I can think about is Mimi's happy face while clapping!!! Adorable!!

When Gaby came home from school yesterday her voice was hoarse (only God knows how long it took me to find that term in English: so, ella llegó ronca). I know this is linked to her enlarged adenoids and sinusitis. Aparentely, she was screaming too much during playground time at school. She was all better since her last treatment a few months ago, but she started snoring and wheezing. I have always wondered if she also has apnea episodes, but how do I find out?

Hubby also stayed home today, because he has an horrible cold and can hardly move. My migraine is also terrible, so we are all miserable today. I called my mom and asked for backup, and she sent me her maid for the day. It was nice to be able to work without worrying about cooking and diaper washing. One of the chores that I hate the most is to hang out the cloth, so I washed like 4 loads of cloth to have her help me to hang them out!! I was in heaven!!

Here is a picture of Gaby playing CandyLand with the maid (there's a little tiny bit of the maid's hand in the right).

Funniest thing of the day: Gaby found a bucket with some cloths that were dry already, and she started trying everything on. She actually found the way to put on some Mia's cloth, and even pant from Mimi. Battery was off so I couldnt take pictures, but it was too funny!!

If you have been following my blog, you may remember that my girls got the Sesame Beginnings DVD on Christmas. If you read the reviews there are a few people that didnt like it, but we decide to give it a try anyway. We dont regret!! We even had the other DVD's of the series on our Wish List, because we want them all!

Some parents look for DVD's to get a few things done, while the kid is hook to the TV (not that Im saying that I havent done it myself), but this DVD is not for that. The purpose of this DVD is that the parents actually sit with the baby to see it, and to spend some time with your baby. The author says: "Watch this with your child; then, turn it off and expand with him what you see".

The DVD is mostly like a board book, and that's what it actually is because a lady is actually reading the story to her 3 year old daughter. The songs are so cute and catchy that I found myself singing them frequenly during the day!

Even though is suppose to be for babies, Gaby is 4 years old and she actually asks for his DVD everyday!! She loves the songs and she loves to play the games suggested on the DVD with Mimi, especially Peek-a-boo, and the baby in the mirror.

Here is a sneak peak of the DVD, and this is how Mia learned to say HI. I apologize that my hands are moving so much while recording, but this was my third try and I already had Mimi on top of me. In the first two tries, Mia was screaming happily!! LOL

For a mother, their kids are the most beautiful creatures around. Im not exception. My girls are truly beautiful, and there is no one single thing that I will change about them. It's so funny how people say that one of the girls is just like me, but others say that she looks just like hubby. I had been told that each girl looks like me, and hubby have been told that each girl look like him, each by different people.

What do I think? I think that Gaby used to look exactly how I looked when I was a baby, but now she is looking everyday more like my sister in law. I think that Mia looks just like hubby as an adult (not at all as when he was a baby), and that she looks just like my mother in law. She also has her fingers and nails, exactly as my mom's. Then Mimi, looks just like Gaby. Not Gaby when she was a baby, but like Gaby now. She also has my father in law's air.

The thing is that is doesnt matter who they look like, they are the perfect blending between a woman and a men that decided to have a family together. We sometimes joke about how my nephew-godson got my grandpa's blue eyes, but my girls didnt. Then I think: They wont look like us if they have blue eyes. Hubby's eyes are pretty dark, and my eyes are kinda light, but still brown.

When Mimi was born her eyes were gray... dark gray. For days her eyes had a dark blue tone, other days they were more like gray or even hazel, and some other days they were so dark that like looked like black.

Either one color or the other, I love her eyes!! They are SOO big and so beautiful, that I cant help but to stare at them. Today, she was playing her her mouth, making sounds, and I can help but to look at eyes. This video shows so much her personality, and her face expressions are priceless!

Best thing of the day: Hubby was cutting the grass and the girls got to spend time outside playing with the neighbor kids that were playing ball in front of our house. I stayed here, working on a card, and listening to their laughs made my day

We buy most of the things online, so I have wishlists to have in one place everything that we are planning (or at least hoping) to buy.
