Most things in this country cost at least the double of what they cost in the states, and sometimes even more. When we moved to this country, the first thing I did was to get a courier account. Basically, I get an address in several countries, including United States. So, when I order something online, I pay regular shipping to Florida (where the address in the states actually is from), and then I pay here to receive the packages per pound. So, when Im going to buy something I have to make sure that the actual price + shipping to the states + shipping here costs less than buying it here, and you guys will be amaze that after I sum all that, most of the time Im not even paying half of what I will be paying here!!

The keys are:
First: Get free shipping to Florida (that's when Amazon Prime chips in).
Second: Always check in the details of the item how much it weights and try to get the one that weight less.

The last couple of days I have been a bit stressed out about how we are going to handle "Back to School" this year. Gaby gets a large "list of supplies", and even though Mia and Mimi are really young, they get theirs too. Also we have to buy uniforms, shoes, sneakers, backpacks, lunch boxes, etc etc etc...... We decided to start shopping as we only have 1 and half month until the school starts again. Here is what I got today:
Photobucket
All this for $41.54!!!! That is including shipping to FL (which was free). To receive it here, I still dont know how much I will pay, as not all of them had the shipping weight in the description, but I dont think any of them weights over 2 pounds, which means that the maximim I will pay is around 12 bucks. Not bad!

Im really happy... The shoes that I got for Gaby for non-P.E. days alone, actually costs in this country a little bit more than the total that I paid for the 6 pairs of shoes (costs US$43 bucks in this country!!!).

I didnt got sneakers for Mia or Mimi as she has a few "almost new" sneakers that used to belong to Gaby. I also got a pair of shoes for activities for each, so they have one pair of shoes that they can use for those color days, field days and so on, so they dont waste their nice shoes in school activities as they have been doing so far.

Updated on July 9th: The shoes got here and they weight a little under 6 pounds... I will be paying 19 bucks to receive them, which I think is pretty good. In overall, I spent $60.54, which is awesome for 6 pairs of shoes!!!! Way to go me!!! Cant wait to pick them up, which may be on the weekend or early next week....

Nice shoes!! Stella has new shoes in similiar style as Gaby's black ones. She just had a foot growth spurt.. to size 11! YIKES. What's Gaby shoes size now?

Gentri: I bet you have to dig stuff like this as you also have three feet to supply for!! LOL

Angy: Size 11?? WOW!!! Im getting those in 10.5 but Im taking the chance that they may be a bit bit as she is size 10, and still has some 9.5 that fits her from some brands... She doesnt have anything Barbie or Circo right now, so I dont know how those sizes are. I'll just have to wait and see, I think they will fit her just fine with socks.

Shoes...oooh. I love the last pair. What baffles me is how expensive these shows can be when kids outgrow them so fast. My in-laws bought Mya's first shoes and they were almost 70 dollars.

Kristina: I have never spent that much money in a pair for the girls... I try not to even look at them!! LOL... I have spent around 40 in a pair for my oldest or middle girl as I know my youngest will be able to use it, but I refuse to pay more than 15-20 in a pair for my youngest! I think that is there is one thing that Im always looking for bargains are shoes!

We buy most of the things online, so I have wishlists to have in one place everything that we are planning (or at least hoping) to buy.
