We had Mimi's check up today, and she still is as tiny as can be!!! She weights 19 pounds (which is in the 14th Percentile for her age), and 27.5 inches tall (which is the 6th percentile for her age). That's 19 pounds with a BumGenius on, which means that she should be 18.5 pounds.

Am I worried? I cant even answer that question. I do now that she has been weighting 18+ pounds since she was 8 months old, and 4 months later she is still the same weight.

The pediatrician (the old and the new) tells me not to worry just because babies are suppose to triple their birth weigth by the time they are 12 months old, and she is over that weight (we was born with 4+ pounds). But, no matter how their math works, *MY* math says that a baby needs to have a steady weight gain, and she was gaining weight just fine until she reached 8 months old, and then she stopped. She was sick a month ago, but even if that affected her weight, she didnt gain anything between 8 months old and 11 months old.

I guess we will just have to wait and see. She does eat very good, and she will be taking an iron supplement for 2 months as her iron levels suffered with the Amoebas last month (as well as Mia)... So, we will re-evaluate her in 2 months.

You use cloth diapers, too??!! I didn't know that! My favorites are the Bum Genius:)

I wouldn't worry too much about the size. All of those percentiles are normal and she is on the charts. I was always small and I always will be. As long as she is eating and thriving, she will be just fine. Try not to worry too much, but I know that is easier said than done:)

Heather: Probably is because I meet her on the *screen* but she doesnt seem tiny to me... How much she weights and how tall is she??

Hayley: I have only used BG... Im trying to start with HH now. And about her size, Im still not sure if I really have to worry... I mean, we are both petite (hubby and me), and I know my middle girl is not going to be tall, but I cant help but to think that she is too low in percentile... And she should be lower in the charts from this country.

My owen is the same way. In fact, at 5, he's only 31 lbs soaking wet... he's just a peanut. (not even on the charts for height and barely for weight... like 5%) And I found, when they were at walking age, they totally start to dwindle in their weight gain. I wouldn't worry - as long as she's reaching milestones correctly - I'm sure she's just perfect!

Oh man I would not worry to much. Cooper was just under 19 pounds and only gained a few oz since last checkup. But if she is hitting all of her milestones that is what matters right now. My doc always says they have the rest of thier lives to gain weight.

Kate: Yeah... I think that too... We always thought she was going to be tall, though... She has this "Im a super model" style.

Gentri: She is reaching her milestones even though she is a preemie.... She really amaze me!!

We buy most of the things online, so I have wishlists to have in one place everything that we are planning (or at least hoping) to buy.
